Visitation Homes

A faith-based transitional housing complex, Visitation Homes provides services for 18 female-headed households with 1-5 children. The Office of Supportive Housing makes referrals. Extra consideration is given to women with special needs, like drug and alcohol addiction, histories of domestic abuse, mental illness, and HIV/AIDS.

Susquehanna House

Run by the nonprofit SELF, Inc., the Susquehanna House in North Philly provides shelter and services for 22 women. SELF’s Peer Outreach team and the Office of Supportive Housing make referrals.


Erie House

Run by the nonprofit SELF, Inc., Erie House provides shelter and services for 25 women at their North Philadelphia location. SELF’s Peer Outreach team and the Office of Supportive Housing make referrals.

Serving both single women and female-headed households, Trevor’s Place is a community-based shelter in North Philly that houses 60 members of families and 12 singles. The Office of Supportive Housing makes referrals.

Darlene Morris / Love and Care Residential Systems provides single-parent, female-headed families with shelter and supportive services. Darlene Morris / Love and Care has been in operation since 1968 and currently provides 72 women and children with home-like residences.
