Women Against Abuse Sojourner House

Sojourner House provides transitional housing to domestic violence victims. The program serves 12 families of women and children in one, two, or three bedroom apartments for 18 to 24 months. Referrals are completed through the Office of Supportive Housing.

Services include:

  • Case management
  • Group counseling
  • On-site nursery
  • After school and summer school programs
  • Economic management education
  • Parenting and life skills education

Because many residents have recently left abusive living situations, the location of Sojourner House is not disclosed. Sojourner House provides referrals to many organizations that help residents secure permanent housing.

Legal help for domestic violence is available through WAA’s legal center at 100 S. Broad Street, 5th floor.
