Ridge Avenue primarily serves as a 24/7 intake facility for single men. The intake involves determining eligibility, needs assessment, orientation, and referal, prevention diversion, and placement.

Ridge Avenue also houses Adult Protective Services, which is for 18-59 year-old adults who are at risk in the community. A Special Needs Unit is available for special needs clients inthe shelter who need intensive, supportive case management.
